I helped a couple find a home here last month who have lived in San Francisco for the past 20 years. They have grown tired of the rising costs and all the changes in the Bay area. I thought they were so brave. They researched different cities and areas and decided that Portland, Oregon had the most to offer for them in their retirement years.
They contacted me through the Zillow system after (I’m sure) reading about many realtors there. Janet called me and we had a long conversation. She decided I would be a good match for the two of them. We worked long distance for the next month. When the big day came, they flew in and the next day, I picked them up from their hotel. The marathon search began. We looked at many homes that day. After 2 more days out, we had the perfect home identified. We wrote an offer and had an inspection before their trip back home.
We recently closed and they will be driving up next week to start their new Oregon lives. They are so excited and I am happy I was able to help. This is the best part of my job!
